Linux… again Linux…

What I’ve discovered in Ubuntu 10.04 some of the modules which are actually needed not loaded automatically e.g. usb-storage and/or usbhid.

Both modules are needed as they allow connect USB such as USB harddrives and/or USB mouses devices on the fly.

It’s easy to fix (if you’re familiar with Linux) [just add them into /etc/modules] however what was the reason not to include them per default?

And why is the issue with ndiswrapper still present? It kind of worked in 9.04 and it doesn’t work in 10.04 again.

Which quick, latest laptop computer do I have to buy to have it working stable and wireless?
